High Fasting Glucose
Fasting blood glucose is a test to show how much glucose (sugar) is in a blood sample taken after an overnight fast, thus before the person has eaten.
The normal, nondiabetic range for blood glucose is from 70 to 110 mg/dl. If the level is above 140 mg/dl, it usually means the person has diabetes (except for newborns and some pregnant women).
How The CR Way
can help
Keeping glucose low provides valuable protection from diabetes. Other big benefits are extra energy, increased cognitive abilities and activation of longevity genes.
Low GI Foods
Many people have heard of the Glycemic Index, a ranking system indicating how rapidly foods increase blood glucose levels. What most people don’t realize, however, is that cooking method, rate of eating, fat content, and acid content are among the many other factors that influence the glycemic effect of foods.
How The CR Way
can help
The CR Way helps you sort out these variables and shows how diet and lifestyle can help you manage glucose in a healthful way.
